Tony Fay is the current Independent ​
Non-Executive Chair of Janus Electric.​ -
Tony has held several MD/CEO positions with 30 years of experience managing derivative broking businesses. ​

He has worked in Financial Markets for several leading Investment Banks and Brokerage Firms. He was instrumental in establishing the Agricultural Derivatives markets and holds investments in a ​
diverse portfolio of start-up ventures ​
and listed equities. ​ -
Tony was Chairman of Raiz Invest Ltd (ASX:RZI) from 2018 to 2020.​

Peter Koller
Non-Executive Director

Peter brings over 35 years of experience across financial markets, company promotion and marketing, Peter has been a significant supporter of Janus since its IPO, contributing to increased market engagement and visibility.

Holding a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Finance) from the University of Technology Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment with The Securities Institute of Australia.

He built extensive experience in the Australian futures markets during the late 1980's and 1990's, specialising in commodities, stock, index and options trading/hedging.

Peter played a key role in establishing and marketing the Whitehaven Correlation Fund, a successful algorithm trading fund. Additionally, he served in a senior advisory capacity at Pulse Markets, focusing on capital-raising initiatives.

Peter is passionate about the renewable energy sector, with a focus on positioning Janus Electric as a global leader in heavy vehicle electrification, both in Australia and internationally.

Outside of work, Peter is an avid surfer and swimmer, and enjoys sailing, fishing and taking road trips.

Ben Hutt is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience in technology, energy, and capital markets.

He most recently served as CEO of Evergen, where he scaled the business from a startup to a leading energy SaaS platform, culminating in its acquisition by Intellihub in 2023.

Ben previously led Search Party Group through its ASX listing and international expansion and held senior roles at Macquarie Group during the Global Financial Crisis.

He holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a BSc (Hons) from the University of Leeds.

Outside of work, Ben is an endurance athlete and a solo English Channel swimmer.

Lex Forsyth
Founder and Chief Operating Officer

With deep industry expertise and a commitment to green energy solutions, Lex will continue to lead Australia’s transition to electrifying heavy road transport under the new merged group.

Coming from a family with over 50 years in the trucking industry, Lex has an intrinsic understanding of road transport and the challenges faced by fleet operators. This professional experience provides him with invaluable insights into the logistical and operational demands of the industry.

Lex began his career as Operations Manager at FH Transport, advancing to Managing Director at Sea Cargo Logistics before leading his family’s business, Forsyth Transport. He later became General Manager at Australian Network Fuels, specialising in diesel supply for QLD truck fleets.

Now at Janus Electric, Lex is revolutionising the trucking industry. Under his leadership, the company launched Australia’s first solar-powered ”Charge and Change” Station a t the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct in Sydney. Th is innovative infrastructure enables electric trucks to swap batteries quickly, reducing downtime whilst enabling sustainable transport.

Phil Hempenstall
Chief Financial Officer

Phil brings over 20 years of senior leadership and CFO experience across Australia’s mining, heavy industry, and construction sectors, with a proven record of leading complex financial operations, driving business growth, and supporting major industrial projects.

Phil is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Accounting) from the University of Newcastle as well as an MBA from the University of New England, reflecting his dedication to professional excellence, ethical financial management, and expertise in strategic leadership and financial reporting.
